Our Heritage
From Liberia to the United States and across West Africa — the story of God's faithfulness in the Redd Bonwiendy family.
Preserving Our Story
The Redd Bonwiendy family history is a testament to God's faithfulness across generations. From humble beginnings in Liberia to a family spread across nations, ours is a story of faith that refused to be extinguished by distance, hardship, or time.
This section is a living archive — a place to preserve family stories, honor those who came before us, and inspire those who will come after. We believe that knowing where we come from helps us understand where God is taking us.
"Tell it to your children,
and let your children tell it to their children."
— Joel 1:3
Our Journey
Generations Past
The Bonwiendy family story begins in Liberia — a land of deep faith, resilience, and community. Our ancestors planted seeds of prayer and devotion that would bear fruit for generations to come.
"The Lord is faithful to all his promises." — Psalm 145:13
The Early Years
As family members began to spread across West Africa and eventually to the United States, they carried with them the faith of their fathers — a commitment to prayer, Scripture, and family unity.
"I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring." — Isaiah 44:3
A New Chapter
Family members arrived in the United States, bringing their heritage and their faith. New roots were planted in American soil, but the connection to Liberia and West Africa never faded.
"The Lord watches over the foreigner." — Psalm 146:9
Coming Together
Recognizing the need to stay spiritually connected across distances, the Redd Bonwiendy Fellowship was established — a covenant to pray together, study together, and grow together regardless of where life takes us.
"Where two or three gather in my name, there am I." — Matthew 18:20
Today & Beyond
Today the fellowship continues to grow — new generations joining, new prayers answered, new testimonies added to the family story. The legacy of faith is alive and being written every day.
"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on." — Philippians 1:6
God's Faithfulness
"I have watched God's faithfulness in this family for more years than I can count. Every prayer we have prayed together has been an investment in eternity. Our children's children will reap what we have sown in prayer."
A Family Elder
Liberia
"Growing up between two worlds — Liberia and America — I sometimes felt torn. But the fellowship showed me that I don't have to choose. My identity is in Christ, and this family is my anchor on both sides of the ocean."
A Second-Generation Member
United States
"When I joined the weekly prayer meetings, I didn't expect to feel so connected to family I had never met in person. But prayer has a way of making strangers into family. I am grateful for this fellowship."
